Chillicothe High School 2018 Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Night: First, apologies for the poor video connection, but the audio is clean and you can hear the entire ceremony. I can’t properly explain how much fun I had interviewing this Class and some of the previous HOF members for the future CHS interactive program. Not only did I have sit downs with Carolyn Sullivan but nearly all the attending members of the 1973-74 Girl’s Basketball Team, Mary Taylor Montgomery, Keegan Rathkamp, Brad Bates, Cory Cox and Bill Gunlock, but fellow members Quantres Bates, Dr. David Smith, Drew Basil, Brian Putnam, Eric Putnam and others. Tonight, after 20 interviews, I felt I finally met my purpose in life! Many more HOF interviews to do. Fans will like this. Those attending basketball games since the Charter Class of 1993 have seen the large pictorial displays in the lobby of Hatton Gym. Those are being replaced by smaller placards with photos and an interactive video board. Fans will be able to push a button on a question and hear the HOF members’ responses in their own words. Looking forward to more talks with surviving HOF members. I wish we’d started this program long ago, we’ve missed out on so many stories from those who have passed. Humbled to have the opportunity to help surviving members tell their stories.
